James has a very special understanding of horses and the people who love them ... he is able to make a swift and insightful assessment of a horse - rider partnership and identify ways of working that enable and support both to progress at their own pace and without the use of "gadgets" to help.

I have had flat work, jumping and cross country lessons with James and not only had fun but also made improvements in each session. Our main issue is my lack of confidence but James has a very clever way of getting me to make manageable steps out of my comfort zone. James has a way of reading you and your horse (even in group sessions) and helping you both progress in a fun and positive way. I would reccomend James 100%.

I have taken my new Mare to several grid sessions with James Jackson as well as a private session at Stockland Lovell. James is very professional and knowledgeable and understands both horses and people. His advice is considered and effective and my mare and I were working much more as a team by the time we finished our private session and James had given me lots of advice I have used to good effect since. He is the type of trainer who gets you to do more than you expect but without feeling pressurised. Would definitely recommend his coaching no matter what level you are working at.

Over the past year James has been coaching me, when I began with James my mare was very tense, choppy in her strides and flatwork sessions with her would always end in me feeling very deflated and unsure on how to correct her way of going, but with his knowledge and skills James has improved both me as a rider and also my mare's way of going. James has a way of making you feel very comfortable during the lesson, he is very honest and positive and his ways really do help. He always explains himself well when giving you guidance and I always feel that through his coaching I get positive results. James has really helped me as a rider too, through passing on his knowledge In my lessons I now understand more clearly when asking my horse questions what it is I am really asking and what the result should feel like and now I am enjoying flatwork on my mare. I would highly recommend James for lessons, you will never leave one disappointed.
